Cargotec Strengthens its Sales and Services Network in South America

Cargotec's Kalmar business area providing container handling solutions has signed an agreement to acquire Argentina-based Equipos y Servicios para Terminales y Puertos SRL (ESTP). The company's sales in 2007 were close to EUR 1 million and it currently employs 17 people.
 
ESTP was established in 2001 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and thereafter appointed as Kalmar's dealer for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. In addition to new equipment distribution the company provides equipment commissioning, technical and spare part support, and equipment repairing and refurbishing in South America.
 
Acquisition of ESTP will strengthen Kalmar's distribution network and support service growth in South America.
